The practical training of some students will be organized in foreign institutions

By the resolution of the government, the Regulation on the organization of the practical training of students studying in higher educational institutions in the field of international relations in foreign institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved.

According to the Regulation, the practice will be organized according to the program developed by the university and agreed with the host organization.

Practical training is carried out once during one academic year for at least 10 days and no more than 30 days.

The practical training is carried out in 2 stages.

In the first stage, the university draws up a list of gifted 3rd-year students who have mastered foreign languages perfectly. This list, as well as the recommendations issued for these students, is submitted annually, no later than July 1, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

What should students provide during the selection process:
a national or equivalent international certificate of foreign language proficiency corresponding to the CEFR system at least level C1;
general rating (learning) indicators are required to be 80 points and higher, the absence of fails from subjects.

In the second stage, candidates will be assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the requirements and needs of the host organization and will be interviewed by July 20.

️ During the practical training period, the student retains the right to receive a scholarship in accordance with the established procedure.

«Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad» mean diplomatic missions, consular offices or representative offices under international organizations;

«International relations» refers to the bachelor's degree courses – «Political Science», «International Affairs», «International Economics and Management» (by regions and areas of activity), «Jurisprudence» (international legal activity), «Economics of foreign countries and country studies» (by countries and regions) and «World Economy and International Economic Relations» (by regions and types of activity).

A branch of a foreign university in the field of cinematography has been established in Tashkent

By the resolution of the President, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education «Russian State University of Cinematography named after S.A.Gerasimov» was established in the city of Tashkent.

According to the resolution, the Branch is a higher educational institution – a separate structural subdivision of the Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. A. Gerasimov (VGIK) with the status of a legal entity.

Educational activities in the branch will start from the 2021/2022 academic year.

The educational process will be carried out in Russian on the basis of curricula and programs approved by the VGIK in agreement with the Agency of Cinematography, with the study of the Uzbek language and the history of Uzbekistan.

The main educational areas and specialties of the branch are:

1. Drama.
2. Producer (by type).

Educational activities will be carried out in full-time and part-time forms of education, as well as in a distance form with the use of information and communication technologies.

Graduates are awarded a diploma of the VGIK of the state sample of the Russian Federation, recognized as a document on higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The graduates of the Branch, who studied based on a state grant, are assigned to a film company, television and radio company or an organization in the field of film and television with the condition of compulsory work for a period of at least five years.

215 citizens were pardoned by the Presidential Decree

The Presidential Decree "On pardoning a group of people serving a sentence in the form of deprivation of liberty, who sincerely repented of their actions and firmly embarked on the path of correction" was adopted.

By the Decree, according to the paragraph 23 of the Article 93 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 113 citizens have been pardoned serving sentences of imprisonment who have sincerely repented of their actions and firmly embarked on the path of correction.

3 pardoned citizens were released from the main sentence, 127 were released on parole from serving their sentence, 12 were replaced by a more lenient imprisonment. The terms of imprisonment imposed on 73 persons have also been reduced.

Among those pardoned, 14 are women, 12 are men over 60 years old, 69 are citizens of foreign countries, 15 are members of prohibited organizations.

Drivers will not be brought to administrative responsibility in case of registration of a road traffic accident notification.

In accordance with the amendments to the Law "On compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners" now the Law establishes the grounds for recording a road traffic accident notification.

According to this:

Road traffic accident notification is a document voluntarily filled in at the place of a road traffic accident by drivers, involved in the accident, to notify the insurer of the road traffic accident, certifying the fact of the occurrence of civil liability of vehicle owners.

A notification is drawn up by the drivers involved in the accident without the participation of the representatives of the internal affairs bodies.

The notification by drivers is defined as a circumstance that excludes them from being held administratively liable.

In particular, according to the amendment to article 133 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, it is established that a driver cannot be held liable if drivers involved in a road traffic accident draw up a road traffic accident notification in cases where a violation of traffic rules by drivers of vehicles caused significant material damage to the victim.

Cruelty to animals may lead to criminal liability

Law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was signed by the President.

The Law establishes several new types of criminal liability in the Criminal Code.

Including:

It is established that cruel treatment of animals, that is, their torture or infliction of suffering from selfish or other base motives, which caused their death or injury, committed after the application of an administrative penalty for the same actions, is punishable by a fine of 12 million 250 thousand soums to imprisonment for up to 6 months.

Also, illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of potent or toxic substances that are not narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances, or manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment for the purpose of sale or sale of equipment for their manufacture or processing, is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years.

The Presidential Resolution "On Measures to Provide Investment Projects with External Infrastructure" was adopted.

According to the resolution, from October 1, 2021, investors' projects worth more than 200 billion soums will be provided with the necessary external engineering and communication networks, in which the share of their own funds is at least 25 percent included in investment programs at the expense of the State budget.

A procedure will be established according to which, within the framework of investment projects worth more than 200 billion soums:

funds from the budget loan for construction, reconstruction and repair of electric power networks are allocated to Regional Electric Networks JSC and National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan JSC;
for construction, reconstruction and repair of natural gas networks - JSC "Uztransgaz" and JSC "Hududgaztaminot".

Works on the construction, reconstruction and repair of highways is carried out at the expense of funds for the development of highways under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the main departments of finance of the regions and the city of Tashkent.
