215 citizens were pardoned by the Presidential Decree

The Presidential Decree "On pardoning a group of people serving a sentence in the form of deprivation of liberty, who sincerely repented of their actions and firmly embarked on the path of correction" was adopted.

By the Decree, according to the paragraph 23 of the Article 93 of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 113 citizens have been pardoned serving sentences of imprisonment who have sincerely repented of their actions and firmly embarked on the path of correction.

3 pardoned citizens were released from the main sentence, 127 were released on parole from serving their sentence, 12 were replaced by a more lenient imprisonment. The terms of imprisonment imposed on 73 persons have also been reduced.

Among those pardoned, 14 are women, 12 are men over 60 years old, 69 are citizens of foreign countries, 15 are members of prohibited organizations.
