Uzbekistan has joined another international treaty

The Presidential Decree "On joining the international treaty" was adopted.

Under the Decree, Uzbekistan has joined the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled (June 27, 2013, Marrakesh).

The Agency of Information and Mass Communications has been appointed as the competent authority responsible for the implementation of this international treaty.

The Cabinet of Ministers and the heads of relevant ministries and departments shall ensure the fulfillment of the obligations of Uzbekistan after the entry into force of this international treaty.

The procedure for obtaining a biometric passport for traveling abroad through "my.gov.uz" has been established

The Administrative Regulations for the provision of public services for applying for a biometric passport of a citizen to travel abroad through the Single portal of interactive public services was approved by Government Resolution.

According to the Administrative Regulations, citizens can apply for a biometric passport to travel abroad using one of the following options:

● upon arrival at the migration and citizenship departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;
● upon arrival at Public Services Centers;
● through the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services (SPIGS).

When submitting an application, a questionnaire is filled in, if erroneous data is indicated in the questionnaire or if the documents are not fully filled in, the applicant is given 5 business days to eliminate the drawbacks, if the errors are not eliminated, the questionnaire will be rejected.

Citizens pay the state fee for obtaining a biometric passport to travel abroad within 3 business days.

The applicant is notified within 1 business day of the acceptance of the application and the date of arrival for photographing and taking electronic fingerprints.

A biometric passport for traveling abroad is issued within 10 business days.
