Apples And Oranges: used when trying to compare two things that are very different
Example: He bought a new car, it was a Mercedes. He used to drive a Fiat. It was like comparing apples with oranges. They were two totally different cars.

A Banana Skin: when something is likely to cause you to halt or to slip up
Example:His business was doing well. However, the bank was not prepared to lend any more money. This was the banana skin on which his business would slip.

To Go Nuts: to get very upset or to go mad 
Example:The car driver did not see him parked on the street and crashed into him. He went nuts when he saw all the damage.

A Couch Potato: someone who sits at home all day on the sofa watching TV
Example:He had not been out with his friends for many months. His wife told him to stop being a couch potato and take her to the restaurant.

Not To Put All Eggs In One Basket: to spread your risks
Example:David wanted to invest his money in an oil company. His adviser told him to invest in a number of different companies and spread his risk. He told him it was not wise to put all your eggs in one basket.

As Cool As A Cucumber: to stay very calm and relaxed, especially when everyone else around you is nervous or stressed
Example:He stayed as cool as a cucumber during his driving test and passed it the first time.

Example:

Let Me Think: use it to give yourself extra time to think or consider something

Example:
Let me think about that and I’ll give you a reply tomorrow.

Just A Moment/Second/Minute: Moment, second and minute interchangeable. They’re not really a period of time. It could often be much longer. For example, five minutes later you’re still waiting.
It has no reference to the particular time, we just use it as an expression to get somebody to wait.

Example:
Just a moment. I am on thephone.

Bear With Me: ask someone to wait and be patient

Examples:
Please bear with me for five minutes while I finish this email.
Bear with us while we try to fix these technical issues.

Something Or Somebody Will Have To Wait: use it when you have no time to do something or no time to deal with somebody

Example:
The report is just going to have to wait; I’m not going to be able to complete it by today.

Just Wait Until/Till: You can use either till or until there. Use this to ask someone to be patient for a moment

Examples:
Please just wait until I get a chance to discuss this with you.
Just wait until I get a chance to read the proposal.
I’m very busy, please wait until I have time to read the form carefully.
