The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan «On the opening of the embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of India» was adopted.

Following the Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India dated March 18, 1992, the Cabinet of Ministers approved to establish the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of India in Delhi.

Under the Resolution the ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of India under the terms of domestic, medical, and transport services equated to the Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
