Why do children like hearing the same bedtime stories?
As far as I know there can be various reasons why kids ask to tell one story over and over, mainly it may be because of their preference for familiarity rather than novelty , in their early stages of learning process . Inherently they just stick to one character of a story and creates images of that character. Plus , as they tend to forget easily , they can hear one story again and wait all culminating moments curiously as they hear it for the first time .
