Relatives of those who reported corruption will also be protected by the state
The law "On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan" was signed by the President.
In accordance with the amendments made, it was established that employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency have the right to freely visit penitentiary institutions, get acquainted with documents to study and analyze committed corruption offenses.
The National Anti-Corruption Report prepared by the Anti-Corruption Agency is presented to the Oliy Majlis annually.
Henceforth, the relatives of persons reporting corruption offenses will also be protected by the state (previously only persons who reported corruption offenses were protected).
The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
