Medical institutions in the regions will be equipped with modern equipment

The Presidential Resolution "On additional measures to improve the quality of medical services to the population and to further increase the human resources in the health sector" was adopted.

In accordance with the Resolution, state district (city) and regional medical institutions in 2021-2022, at the request of the Ministry of Finance, will be allocated loans at a rate of 2 percent per annum in national currency in the equivalent of up to USD 100 million. Concurrently, these funds are issued for a period of up to 3 years from the date of submission of applications.

Accordingly, funds are allocated in the form of budget loans for a period of not more than 3 years at the justified applications of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent with the condition of repayment at the established rate.

In each region and institution, the need for medical equipment will be determined and medical equipment will be purchased according to the corresponding list.

Terms of reference and tender documents for the purchase of medical equipment undergo a comprehensive examination at the State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Comprehensive Expertise of Projects and Import Contracts”.

According to the Resolution, khokimiyats can conclude direct contracts to improve the qualifications of specialists of medical institutions in the regions in leading foreign medical institutions, subject to a comprehensive examination in the center.

The Resolution approved the "Road Map" to strengthen the material and technical base and increase the human resources of state district (city) and regional medical institutions.
