Customs posts of «Remote electronic declaration» will be established

The Presidential Decree «On simplification of customs procedures and further improvement of the organizational structure of the state customs service bodies» was adopted.

By the decree, non-category customs posts for «Remote electronic declaration» will be gradually established in the following regions:

● From October 1, 2021 - in the customs administrations of Tashkent, Syrdarya, Kashkadarya and Khorezm regions;
● From April 1, 2022 - in other territorial administrations.

From October 1, 2021, the «Remote electronic declaration» posts will remotely process electronic customs cargo declarations of participants in foreign economic activity (FEA).

From December 1, 2021 at the checkpoints of cars across the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

The tasks of checking and issuing the relevant documentation for the goods of veterinary and phytosanitary authorities are carried out through the customs information system «Single Window» or information systems integrated with it;
The practice of stamping and registration of commodity transport documents by Veterinary and phytosanitary bodies will be abolished.

From January 1, 2022:

overpaid or levied customs duties are refunded to the FEA participant within 3 business days;
The minimum period of deferral or installment payment of customs duties will be set at 14 days, during which no interest is charged.
The Central Customs Laboratory will be established in the system of the State Customs Committee.

The laboratory will take measures to obtain the status of the «Regional Customs Laboratory» of the World Customs Organization.

The laboratory will provide other services related to the determination of the composition of nicotine-containing products and alcoholic beverages, the provision of other services related to the examination and certification of goods.
