The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan from March 16, 2020, LRU-611 "On census" was adopted

Prior to article 3 of the Law census - is a periodic process of collecting and processing personal data that determine the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population at a fixed date carried out throughout the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan or in its certain territories.

The main purpose of the census is to obtain reliable and objective information about the state and dynamics of the development of the population structure in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is necessary for determining and implementing priority directions of state policy in the field of socio-economic and socio-political development of the country.
