As time passes, various types of new discoveries have been made including diseases that have never occurred before. In these days, more and more people are being affected by cancer and their number does not seem to stop growing. While I think certain genetic modifications as well as negative alterations in a way people live do play a significant role in the emergence, I am still of the opinion that technology usage could be practical to overcome such diseases.
It has been justified that cancer occurs in 2 ways: passing from generations and because of bad habits. The first reason, which is hard to cure, is come by ancestors to descendants by certain genetic codes namely DNA. In the human body, cells possess that DNA and when a person affected by cancer has a baby, a copy of DNA is taken from infected cells to young ones. As a consequence, the baby is expected to confront problems related to cancer and fight against it for most of his time. The next possible way of being influenced by it is the incorrect lifestyle. According to WHO’s statistics, people with obesity, drug addictiveness, alcoholism, and smoking habits are highly likely to suffer from it. Additionally, it can also be found in people living in unhealthy environments like radiation. These aforementioned trends lead to the destruction of the functionality of cells which as a result, ends in the increase in the number of cells.
Should the issue appear, some way-outs are supposed to exist. To tackle the problems with cancer, modern-day scientists are working on new types of technologies which could benefit humanity in a controversy against cancer. Some people even declared that experiments on laboratories are gradually giving satisfactory results. So people should use their whole potential. Moreover, not only by the help of hi-tech, but also by preaching people to give up their bad habits, humanity can defeat this disease. It would certainly result in decrease in the number of cancer patients if drugs, alcohol and radioactive substances were partly banned, which then, reduces the possibility of babies being born with it.
In conclusion, while genetic traits and inappropriate lifestyle can contribute to cancer, there would be no room left for it if technological and legacy policies were used efficiently.
