Ensuring human rights and freedoms is the highest goal of the state
Human rights and freedoms are recognized and guaranteed in accordance with international law and the Constitution.
A citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan cannot be forced out of the country or extradited to another country
The death penalty is prohibited in the Republic of Uzbekistan
Human honor and dignity are inviolable.
No one can be imposed an obligation not defined by law without his/her consent.
The conviction of a person and the legal consequences arising from it cannot be a cause limiting the rights of his/her relatives.

Independence of Uzbekistan is inviolable.

Over 150 countries recognized Uzbekistan as a sovereign democratic republic.

Among them:
China - on December 27, 1991
United States - recognized Uzbekistan as independent entity in the international arena on December 25, 1991.
On March 20, 1992, a protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations was signed with Russia, and Uzbekistan was recognized as an independent state.

Uzbekistan is full-fledged member of such prestigious organizations as the UN, the OSCE, the CIS, the Organization of Turkic States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
More than 120 nationalities and peoples live here in peace and harmony.
Uzbekistan's 36 million population is likely to reach 40 million in 2030 and 50 million in 2040.

We are a country with a 3000-year history of statehood.
Therefore, any doubts and conflicting opinions about independence of the post-Soviet countries have nothing to do with Uzbekistan.

Renewed Constitution: labor rights guarantee

Everyone has the right to decent work, to freely choose a profession and type of activity, to work in comfortable working conditions in line with safety and hygiene requirements.
Everyone has the right to a fair wage that is not less than the minimum wage.
It is prohibited to refuse to hire women, dismiss them and cut their monthly salary because they are pregnant or have a child.
Wage-earners are guaranteed the right to annual paid vacation
Forced labor is prohibited except for the order of execution of the sentence imposed by the court decision or other cases provided by the law.
Any form of child labor that endangers the child's health, safety, morals, mental and physical development, and hinders the child's education, is prohibited.
