Extreme sports such as sky diving and skiing are very dangerous and should be banned.
To what extend do you agree or disagree with this view?
Growing popularity of extreme sports has sparked a heated debate and many people insist on prohibiting life-threatening sports. I completely disagree with the idea that these sports are too dangerous, and therefore I believe that they should not be banned.
In my opinion, almost every sport possesses a risk to an extend. Providing that all participants constantly comply with clear regulation and safety procedures, the menace of so-called extreme sports will minimize for certain. Therefore the people who take part in these sports are usually required to undergo an appropriate training course so that the safety of fans of extreme sports are ensured. For example, anyone who wants to try skydiving will need to sign up for lessons and be aware of related information in advance in order to act properly when they are in the process. Finally, extreme sports are not as dangerous as many people think as long as they use protective equipment wisely.
While I support regulations and safety measures, I believe that it would be wrong , and almost impossible , to ban extreme sports. In the first place, the human rights and freedom are violated by imposing such a ban on these sports as every individual has a right to decide how to spend their leisure time. In fact , like any other activities, extreme sports are not devoid of their advantages. For instance, dangerous sports can change the chemical makeup of our brain which get people more capable of staying calm and centered during stressful situation. Moreover, the proponents of extreme sports stand out from others because of their self-confidence. Therefore, prohibiting extreme sports will be difficult to enforce.
In conclusion, I would argue that people should be free to enjoy extreme sports so long as they take the appropriate precautions.
