We are pleased to announce a call for applications for the “Open Talks on Transport Connectivity in Central Asia and Afghanistan”.
Are you a high school or university student from Central Asian countries or Afghanistan? Do you want to expand your understanding of how logistics and transport might be game-changers in the economics, business, and investment sectors in Central Asian countries and Afghanistan? Then, this opportunity is for you!

Eligibility criteria:
English-speaking high school and university students who are:
interested in the topic of logistics and transport development in Central Asia and Afghanistan
from Tajikistan and Afghanistan residing in Bishkek
from Osh, Batken and Jalal-Abad regions of Kyrgyzstan
Kazakhstan (travel will be paid only from/to Almaty)
from Uzbekistan (Namangan, Samarkand, Andijan, and Tashkent)
Participants from Central Asian countries and Afghanistan (both residing within and outside of Kyrgyzstan) must apply before May 20 (23:59 Bishkek time):

NOTE:
Round-trip flights from Bishkek to Osh will be covered for participants from Afghanistan residing in Bishkek
Round-trip transportation from Bishkek to Osh will be covered for participants from Tajikistan residing in Bishkek
Transportation from Namangan and Tashkent to Osh will be covered for participants from Uzbekistan
Round-trip transportation (Almaty-Bishkek) and flights (Bishkek-Osh-Bishkek) will be covered for participants from Kazakhstan
Additionally, we will select and invite five young researchers/participants who will present the findings of articles on the logistics and transport sector across Central Asia and Afghanistan. If you are a young researcher and have a research paper on this topic, please fill out this application form for the young researcher presentation position no later than May 20 (23:59 Bishkek time)

All participants of the Open Talks will present their project ideas for the micro-grant competition at the end of the event.
One team will be awarded funds for their best idea. The winners will work closely with the project leader of Open Talks and the C5+1 YC Program Coordinator during implementation.
Five selected participants/young researchers will present the findings of articles on the logistics and transport sector across Central Asia and Afghanistan.
Leading experts from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan will lead and moderate the workshops.
Youth, activists, representatives of companies & private sector, and government officials will take part, therefore participants will deepen their knowledge by participating in this open talk activity.
