There are several habits which make young people unhealthy. So | QUVONCHBEK SCHOOL

There are several habits which make young people unhealthy. Some argue that consuming fast food contributes to an unhealthy lifestyle and that it is becoming increasingly common to see young people suffer from this proclivity. Despite this, I tend to disagree with this point of view, since other factors that make young people unhealthy and these factors will be articulated in the forthcoming paragraphs

It is an undeniable fact that since our eating habits are changing significantly, consumption of unhealthy food is a common phenomenon among youngsters and most argue that eating junk food makes them unhealthy. The primary reason that makes processed food unhealthy is its harmful ingredients which can lead to many diseases. As packaged food contains high amounts level of sugar, unhealthy fat, carbohydrates and they give rise to inflammation among them, youngsters consuming them can suffer from many serious ailments such as obesity, heart disease or blood pressure because of inflammation. Inflammation ,in turn, is one of the underlying causes of obesity and diabetes. To epitomise, according to WHO's statistic information, obesity was determined to be 15.5 % in teenagers and adolescents because of eating junk food and unhealthy food. Instances like this precisely show that since junk food contains carbohydrates and unhealthy fats, junk food consumption can prove deleterious to the well-being of young people.

Although eating junk food has led to an unhealthy lifestyle. This problem has become more common among young people these days, I, however, tend to think there are other more significant factors behind an unhealthy lifestyle among young people. Developing technology has made a tremendous impact on our lives and the fact that most young people today have modern conveniences such as a personal car, a smartphone, a gadget and powerful home appliances means that they do not have to be physically active as much anymore. While in the earlier years quite a few young people played sports and spent time outdoor to have fun, these days they can entertain themselves watching TV or playing video games indoors. Consequently, they have lack of exercises and it can lead to weak muscles, cardiovascular system problems, overweight. By way of illustration, with regard to statistic information published in International Journal Caring of Science, just over 20% of young people have can suffer from health problems due to lack of exercises. Hence, these changes appear to have had more influence on the lifestyle of young people than junk food

Having considered a range of arguments, it can be inferred that as much as I think part of the blame for an unhealthy lifestyle among youngsters lies on junk food, I am more inclined to say that insufficient exercise and the prevalence of indoor entertainment are more significant determinants
