The procedure for providing housing for women in need of it has been determined

The Government resolution approved the Regulation on the procedure for providing housing for women in need of housing, living in non-residential premises, as well as those who have lost their parents or one of them, as well as adult women in the care of a single mother, single father or other persons.

In accordance with the Regulations, women in need of housing, wishing to improve their living conditions, apply with a request-statement to the local government body or the district (city) department for support of the mahalla and family.

The Commission for the Promotion of Housing for Women in Need of Housing, quarterly (by the 15th day of the first month of the quarter) monitors the level of women's housing needs.

Women in need of housing, after the relevant decision of the commission, for a period of not more than 30 days, will be temporarily housed on a lease basis in social living quarters.

Wherein:

women in need of housing are paid an initial mortgage loan of 15 percent of the estimated cost of housing;

the khokimiyat of the district (city), within 20 days after the decision of the commission, concludes a lease agreement with women to be accommodated in social housing (for a period not exceeding 5 years);
within 5 days after the conclusion of the lease agreement, an act of acceptance and transfer of social housing is drawn up;
after drawing up the act, women in need of housing will be placed in social housing within 5 days.

Social housing on the right of municipal ownership belongs to the khokimiyat of the district (city) and separate records are kept for them.

Persons with disabilities, the elderly and persons who cannot move independently are placed on a priority basis in social living quarters on the ground floors of apartment buildings.

The rent for the use of social housing is calculated based on the total area of housing per 1 square meter:

● In Tashkent 2 percent of BCA for a period of 1 year;
● In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions - in the amount of 1 percent of BCA (base calculation amount).

Once a month, compliance with the requirements established in the lease agreement is monitored.
