The Law establishes the financial liability of military personnel for causing harm to the state

The President signed the Law (ЗРУ -718 dated September 30, 2021) "On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Universal military duty and military service".

According to the amendments to the Law, the following Commissions will be created:

For conscription for urgent military service:
● Leader’s Council - under the departments of defense affairs of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent;
● Military Medical Commission - at the assembly (training) points of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent;
● Commission for the recruitment of the Armed Forces - under the district (city) departments of defense affairs;

For conscription for alternative service, for service in the mobilization conscription reserve, granting deferrals from military service conscription and transfer to the reserve of the Armed Forces – Territorial commissions under the departments of defense affairs;

For medical examination of conscripts, determination of their degree of health and referral for treatment –Territorial medical commissions under the departments of defense affairs.

Also, according to the amendments made to the Law, the financial liability of military personnel, university cadets, military conscripts called up for military assembly (training), and serving in the mobilization conscription reserve has been established.
