The President signed the Law "On Environmental Audit"

According to the Law, an environmental audit is carried out on the basis of an agreement concluded between an environmental audit organization and an environmental audit customer, which defines the time frame and other conditions for conducting an environmental audit.

In the case of compliance of the subject of environmental auditing requirements of the relevant regulatory acts, it is not subject to review by the State Committee on Ecology and Environment protection within one year.

Environmental audit can be conducted in the form of a voluntary or mandatory.

Environmental audit in relation to subjects of environmental audit with low or insignificant (local impact) risk of environmental impact is carried out on a voluntary basis.

Subjects of environmental audit related to high and medium risk of environmental impact are subject to mandatory annual environmental audit.

According to the results of the environmental audit, an environmental audit conclusion is drawn up.

This conclusion is a confidential document and is not subject to disclosure without the permission of the customer of the environmental audit.

According to the Law, environmental audit organizations are independent in carrying out their activities.

An agreement on the provision of environmental audit services is concluded exclusively with the presence of a civil liability insurance policy of an environmental audit organization.

Environmental audit organizations are subject to state registration with the Public Services Agency.

Environmental audit organizations cannot be created by state and economic management bodies, as well as by local government bodies.
