2023-01-08 05:19:01 READING TIP
Many IELTS candidates claim that although they are continually practicing, instead of moving forward, they just go around circles. The reason is that most of them focus on the number of practices, not quality of them. After doing practice within or without a time limit, many tend to check the answers, skip analyzing a task and learning by mistake stage, and turn to another practice material (I personally did like this at the beginning). If your score isn't improving, so you should change your way of doing the practice.

Here is my tip!
First of all, you should avoid looking at answers after completing the reading tasks because when you do this your brain stops thinking. Magic happens when you find the answer yourself and digest the meaning.

Steps:

1. Do practice within a time limit
2. Analyse it (without a time limit; don't look at answers; don't use a dictionary)
3. Try to find every single word which is unfamiliar to you
(use dictionary)
4. Discuss your answers with your partner (if you have a partner)
5. Give your answer sheet to someone to check it (one should tell you the questions you found wrong not the answers itself)
6. Try to fix your mistakes (think ahead ) without knowing the answers
7. Check your answers
8. Again, analyse your mistakes (learn by your mistakes)
9. Look at EXPLAINED READING ANSWERS
10. If you still can not handle some questions, approach your teacher for help
11. Count your answers you found true at the first and 7th stages compare them. (It shows your current level of English and your potential level after fixing some problems time , vocabulary , strategic approach and etc)
