How to apply to US colleges? There are plenty of things to consider when you first want to apply to American colleges:
1. First things first, you have to decide your major and start making the list of universities you want to apply. You can use Google, Niche.com CollegeVine and many other sites that can help you to find your Dream School, Target School and Safety school. You have to make a deep research into everything about the univs you are choosing.
2. Check all the requirements whether you're legible or illegible (SAT, IELTS, GPA, tuition fee, majors etc.)
3. Start studying SAT. This test is one of the major things to consider because most of the univs usually first look at the applicants' standardized tests' scores like SAT and IELTS
4. Try to strengthen your portfolio. You can do this by participating in different events or organizing them, doing some volunteering, doing sth related to your major, taking internships and many many other activities
5. If you have won any Olympiads, it will be better because they show that you are one of the best of the best. Olympiads can play one of the most important roles in your application process
6. Try to take some online/offline courses related to your major and finish them. Often, most of the courses include certificate, so don't forget to pick your certificate after the courses. You can use these platforms: Google Garage, Udemy, Udacity, edX, Coursera and ...)
7. Start writing your motivational/recommendation letters as early as possible. They are also another major aspect of your admission

9.Try to reach and ask for advice the alumni of the universities you are intended to apply. They have already gone through the process that you wanna go and can show some tips and ways to attract admission committee (yeah u got it right. at some points you have to attract the admission committee)
10. And try to find some friends who can accompany you. It would be faster and more interesting with them.
