This person, Hiroo Onoda, was the last person to surrender in World War II. He did not surrender even after the end of the war for 30 years.

During the war, Japan sent many of its soldiers to various islands. Later, after the end of the war, messages were sent to the soldiers there by water and air to call them to their country. But Onoda did not believe that the news might be a trick and continued to live alone on the island and fought with the inhabitants there.

Later, 30 years later, the search for him began and he was finally found. When he was asked why he did this, he said: "I received an order from my commander to never surrender, and that's why I didn't stop."

He later became a hero in Japan.
