The author of this book is Jordan Belfort, a.k.a. the Wolf of Wall Street. He is also known for his words: "Sell me this pen". "Way of the Wolf" is written mainly for people who sell products, courses, or goods. It can be a great guide for beginner and amateur call center workers or sales managers to boost their knowledge of sales.

While reading the book, I mentioned that "Way of the Wolf" can teach how to sell from the basics. The main concept of the book is the theory of Straight Line Selling. This type of selling would help you control the conversation between you and your customer.

The book covers several steps of selling via phone and face-to-face: how to answer customers' questions, what voice tone is needed in which situation, body language, controlling emotions, and making a good first impression.

The one thing that I like most about this book is that Jordan gives scenarios for almost every situation. It really helped me understand his theories more easily.

However, as he was a broker, most of his scenarios are suitable only for brokers. If you sell courses or other types of products, you have to create your own scenario for your company.

All in all, the information given in "Way of the Wolf" can be mostly useful for salespeople. But there are also other aspects that other people can apply to their daily lives, such as first impressions.

Have you heard of the Region Beta Paradox?

Imagine you have to pass a mile or less. You would walk it. If it is more than a mile, you would drive the distance. Mathematically speaking, you spend less time when you have a more-than-a-mile distance.

Generally, the main point of the paradox is that sometimes worse situations can be better than better situations.

For example, if someone is in an okay relationship, they are less likely to break up and search for a great relationship than if they were in a bad relationship. This means that they might stay in a mediocre relationship, which can make their overall situation worse.

The same goes for the job. Even though someone hates his or her job, that person would stay in that position because of salary or other reasons.

All of these people would be in a better position if their situations were worse. Because it will make them do something. They could find a job or a person that makes them happier or more successful.

Overall, if there is no problem, it is good. If things are bad, it is great. Because you will generate activation energy that will assist in making things better.

As long as you are becoming 18 years old, you tend to start thinking about your future life like 5, 10, 15, or even further years ahead.

There appear tons of questions in front of you:
- What type of person, son/daughter, husband/wife, father/mother will I be?
- Where am I going actually?
- How will I achieve my goals?

If you have exact answers to these kinds of questions, you are on the right path. If you have not, you should find the answer for them. At least make a plan for your near future.

In these moments, it is crucial to find a person who can give proper advice on your situation because talking to the wrong person can lead you down the wrong path. Remember to seek advice from someone you trust.

Creating a positive first impression is crucial to sell your product/service/course. One effective way to do this is by getting your client/business partner to say "Yes".

When they agree with your statements or answer your questions positively, they become more receptive to what you're offering.

This is because hearing positive words creates a sense of belief in what is being presented. So, if you want to increase your chances of making a sale, try to get your client to say "Yes" as much as possible.

Here is some examples of questions that is impossible to say "No":

- Do you want to improve your life/work/health?
- Would you like to save money?
- Do you think our product/service/course could help you achieve your goals?
- Is it important for you to get the best quality for your money?
- Do you think it's important to invest in yourself/your business?

Yes, IELTS is hard. It is impossible to get your desired score. Why? There are multiple answers. One of them is being obsessed with a score.

As everybody knows, the exam mainly tests your knowledge of English. The more you study general English, the higher chance you will have to get a high score.

What do most candidates generally do? They study at most pre-intermediate and then move to study IELTS structures.

While preparing for IELTS, they tend to face a huge gap in their general knowledge, which may delay the process of preparing.

Of course, if a candidate wants to get around 5.5 from IELTS, they do not have to study general English that deeply. But what happens after the exam? They will probably stop learning the language.

English is a strong tool that should not be learned only for certificates. You can get a higher paid job, be aware of up-to-date trends, and read books when they are published, not after being translated to Uzbek or Russian after a month or a year, by knowing English well.

To conclude, IELTS can be difficult, but success requires more than just focusing on the exam itself. Improving general English language skills is crucial for long-term benefits, such as better job opportunities and access to information.

While we play chess, we plan our next moves: to checkmate, capture, and defend the king. One blunder is enough to lose the match. So do in our life as well. With one wrong decision, we can lose our life. In addition, if your opponent cannot use your mistake to his/her advantage, you will have another chance to win the game. However, life is ruthless. In most cases, it will not give you another opportunity.

To succeed in a match, we have to see 5-6 moves in advance before we move. You have to also think before you decide on life. It will not be easy to acquire this skill. It can take weeks, months, or even years to master it. But with chess, you can achieve more faster. Because, as I mentioned before, chess makes you think more deeply if you want to win.

Try to play chess at least one time every day.
