Galaxy and it’s types

We have listened the word of “Milky Way Galaxy”. Our solar system is part of Milky Way. And Earth is part of solar system.
Scientists divide segmental galaxies into 4 main types:
Spiral
Elliptical
Peculiar
Irregular
These galaxies span a wide range of sizes, from dwarf galaxies containing as few as 100 million stars to giant galaxies with more than a trillion stars.
Scientists also divide galaxies to normal and active galaxies (Milky Way is normal )
