Hey, yeah you!!!
Do you want to study in the USA, but you dont know what to do??
Then keep reading this post
let's start looking at the components that you should know about.
1) GPA (grade point average) - briefly, it's your average grades at your school
I would say GPA plays a big role in your application. the high your GPA, the more chances you have. your GPA should be around 4- 5.
2) SAT ( scholastic aptitude test) - it's an American testing system
SAT is the second most important component in our list. yes, it's optional, but it's still an important thing in application. Collegeboard.org
3) College essay + supplemental
The college essay is an essay you should write for your college. There are 7 essay prompts to choose from. You can find them on commonapp.org
Supplemental essays are additional pieces of writing required by many highly-selective universities.
4) Recommendation letters
Recommendation letters will come from your teacher, mentors, or even friends.
5) Extracurricular activities & honors
Also known as extra-academic activities, extracurricular activities include sports, student government, community service, employment, arts, hobbies, and educational clubs. Extracurricular activities all complement an academic curriculum.
6) portfolio
The order may change. This list is especially for those who wanna apply to prestigious and top-ranked schools.
The list may vary based on your priorities. Especially, if you are planning to study in not that prestigious and a bit low-ranked universities, the process will be a bit easier.
At least, if you get a good SAT score, your chance of getting a decent scholarship will be higher.
Sharing is caring;)
